The Limerick Active and Sustainable Travel Hustings will take place on Thursday, January 30th at 3pm in Central Buildings, 51 O’Connell St, Limerick. This event is organised by the Limerick Cycling Campaign, the Irish Pedestrian Network and Fix Limerick Bus.
#GE2020 Candidates from all parties have been invited to attend and present their vision for active and sustainable modes of travel to Limerick voters in a focused one-hour session. With the imminent arrival of the Limerick Shannon Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy (LSMATS) and concern about the climate crisis the issue of sustainable and active transport is an important issue for the electorate.
This event follows the recent Transport For Limerick public meeting where over one hundred people attended presentations and discussions ahead of the upcoming Limerick Transport Strategy
